De nieuwe BMW 330e plug-in hybrid is vanaf 2016 de troef van de Duitse autofabrikant in het aanbod van hybride aangedreven compacte auto’s. Men had vanaf 2013 al de BMW 3 ActiveHybrid met hybride aandrijving uitgebracht, welke wordt vervangen door de nieuwe BMW 330e plug-in hybrid. Hiermee zetten de Duitsers dus in op de plug-in hybride techniek.
BMW 330e plug-in hybrid
Als vanaf midden jaren ’70 rijdt de BMW 3-serie, de compacte auto in het luxe segment, rond op de Nederlandse wegen. De auto is zeer succesvol, vooral in het zakelijke verkeer. In 2012 is de zesde generatie van het model ingevoerd. Naast de Touring (stationwagen), zijn er ook andere uitvoeringen op basis van de 3-serie uitgebracht, zoals een hatchback, een Gran Tourismo (GT) en zwaar opgevoerde, sportieve modellen.
Het Duitse automerk BMW streeft altijd naar perfectie, ook op het gebied van motoren. Hierbij dien je niet alleen te denken aan het halen van meer vermogen uit de motoren, maar juist óók aan het efficiënter verbruik van brandstof en minder uitstoot van schadelijke stoffen.
Men ontwikkelde de EfficientDynamics technologie. In 2013 kon een hybride uitvoering niet uitblijven. BMW ontwikkelde de ActiveHybrid motoren: krachtige en efficiënte benzinemotoren, die ondersteuning krijgen van een elektromotor. De BMW 3 ActiveHybrid is in 2013 op de markt gekomen. In 2015 is aangegeven dat de ActiveHybrid van de 3-serie wordt vervangen door een plug-in hybride: de nieuwe BMW 330e plug-in hybrid.
Design
Het design van de nieuwe BMW 330e is nagenoeg gelijk aan de in 2012 geïntroduceerde zesde generatie. In 2015 heeft BMW de sedan en touring uitvoering iets aangepast van binnen en van buiten. Aan de buitenzijde zijn met name de lichtunits onder handen genomen en volledig van LED technologie voorzien. Standaard is het ontwerp van de BMW 3-serie gebaseerd op het zogeheten three-box-design: neus, cabine, bagageruimte. Bij de BMW vertaalt dit zich in de kenmerkende lange motorkap, de korte overhang doordat de voorwielen ver naar voren zijn geplaatst en waarmee ook een lange wielbasis is gecreëerd en het inzittendencompartiment welke relatief ver naar achteren is geplaatst. Aan deze vuistregels in het ontwerp houdt men zich vast en dat resulteert keer op keer in een prachtige auto die dynamiek, klasse en elegantie uitstraalt
Uitrusting
De BMW 3-serie is een luxe compacte auto. Zoals je gewend bent van BMW staat kwaliteit voorop en wordt gebruik gemaakt van hoogwaardige materialen. De nieuwe BMW 3-serie (201% is verkrijgbaar in meerdere uitvoeringen:
- Essential
- Sport
- Luxury
- M Sport
Standaard beschikt de auto over 16” lichtmetalen wielen, mistlichten voor, uitgebreide audio, cruise control en parkeerassistentie. De auto is tevens standaard voorzien van veel technologie welke een bijdrage levert aan het rijcomfort, het dynamische weggedrag en de veiligheid. De Sport benadrukt juist het sportieve karakter van de auto, terwijl de Luxury is uitgerust met bijvoorbeeld lederen bekleding, chroomaccenten en automatische airco. De M Sport uitvoering maakt het ware beest in de BMW los. Opvallend zijn de tot 19” lichtmetalen wielen, die bijdragen aan een uitermate sportief uiterlijk van de auto.
Techniek / motoren
- Topsnelheid: 225 kilometer per uur
- Acceleratie (0-100 km/u): 6,3 seconden
- Gecombineerd vermogen: 252 pk
- Gecombineerd brandstofverbruik: 2,1 liter per 100 kilometer
- Gemiddelde CO2-uitstoot: 49 gram per kilometer
- Actieradius (alleen elektrisch): 35 kilometer
De BMW 330e beschikt over een 184 pk sterke 2.0 liter TwinPower Turbo benzinemotor en een elektromotor, die gezamenlijk het vermogen van 252 pk opleveren. Anders dan bij de BMW 3 ActiveHybrid, kan de BMW 330e tot wel 35 kilometer op volledig elektrische aandrijving rijden. De ActiveHybrid kwam niet verder dan 3 kilometer. Je kunt in de BMW 330e middels een knop de rijmodus kiezen die op dat moment het meest geschikt is: AUTO eDRIVE, MAX eDRIVE of SAVE BATTERY. In de eerste positie maakt de auto de juiste keuze voor jou tussen aanwenden van de elektro- of verbrandingsmotor. In de MAX eDRIVE rijdt je 100% elektrisch en de laatste rijmodus wordt vooral de benzinemotor aangewend, terwijl de accu hierbij wordt gespaard en zelfs wat energie terugkrijgt via het regeneratieve remsysteem.
De plug-in hybride BMW 330e kun je opladen met een kabel aan een laadstation of willekeurig stopcontact. Laat je uitgebreid adviseren door de BMW dealer welke mogelijkheden er zijn en welke het beste past bij jouw geplande gebruik van de nieuwe BMW 330e.
Concurrentie
Concurrentie van de BMW 330e moet gezocht worden in de premium auto’s in het compacte segment, die eveneens zijn voorzien van hybride en plug-in hybride aandrijving. Denk aan de Volvo V60 plug-in hybrid, Mercedes-Benz C-klasse of Volkswagen Passat GTE. Als alternatief kun je denken aan bijvoorbeeld een Citroen DS5, Ford Mondeo of Peugeot 508 met hybride aandrijving.
Prijzen en bijtelling
De nieuwe BMW 330e vervangt vanaf 2016 de BMW 3 ActiveHybrid! Op het moment van schrijven zijn er nog geen prijzen van de nieuwe BMW 330e beschikbaar. De lage uitstoot van CO2 levert een fiscale korting op in de bijtelling in geval van lease. Hierbij wordt gekeken naar de fiscale wet- en regelgeving die van toepassing is in 2016.
